I’d like to suggest two possible sequels to Matewan. One is a movie about the historical UE strike at GE in Schenectady in 1946. It was the first strike for equak pay for equal work. Paul Robeson, Burt Lahr, Rockwell Keent and other celebrities showed up. Another suggestion is a film on the 1906 IWW sit down at the Ge Plant . It was the first factory sitdown in the uS. Interestingly enought the leader of the strike was James Connely, who was in this country before returning to lead the Easter rebellion. Regards from a fellow Schenectadian, Stewart Robinson
