Some photos will give you an idea of what a nice event it was.  On the first day, John and I drove to Thurmond to show it to our friend Tom Rea who joined us from Wyoming. Not much has changed. The buildings along the tracks are stabilized, windows intact and interiors empty. Elma’s is empty and more dilapidated each time we visit. The New River was running fast and high- far too high for a swimming...

Get Out the Vote

John and I joined the Indivisible Dutchess Co effort to canvass for Antonio Delgado on Saturday-in the pouring rain! And on Monday  with the help of Vote Forward we  sent out 25 personal letters to strangers in Iowa and Washington State, encouraging them to vote. What have you done for your country today? Sure, you’re going to vote on November 6, but how about all those people at work and the ones you know from walking the dog? Be bold. Talk to strangers. Defend our fragile democracy. Get out the vote. Maggie and...
