DVD

Hi, I’ve wanted to buy a copy of City of Hope on DVD for a long tim but as you identify above, its not available. Why is that? And is it likely to be anytime in the future?
Thanks, Tony.
The rights to every film are in a different set of hands, and the “City of Hope” rights have been tied up in court for years. We are hoping to work with Sony to release a DVD in the future (there has been a lot of interest), and if any headway is made, you’ll find out about it right here first!
I’m a big John Sayles fan and I think Lonestar is arguably one of the greatest films about America that has ever been made. I’ve got a copy of the current DVD, but I think this film truly deserves a better release. I’d love to see a Criterion Collection style release with serious attention paid to restoring the image and sound, etc . . .
Please include me in any effort to get MATEWAN released on DVD. There is a version out there, but it cut major parts out.
MATEWAN is one of the best movies ever made!
Really? I havd a DVD version of Matewan, what is missing?
